These are the emails I have been sending and receiveing about the opportunity to go overseas this coming year. The last email was the first one I sent:

Hi Leigh-Anne,
I've emailed our OMF office in the US to see how fast they could process
your application - to see if you could get out here by September, assuming
everything goes well. The family has three boys - age 11, 9, and 4. I will
put you in touch with the office as soon as I hear back from them.

Blessings,
Rob

Hi Rob,
Yes, I am interested! Can you give me infornation on the family I would
be helping? How many children do they have? What ages? I'm excited and
nervous. : / This is the first time I have been overseas since I came to
the USA after be born in the Philippines. How long would the application
process take? When would I be needed to come? I can come as soon as I have
everything in line back here in the states before handing off to Vietnam.
Thanks for your quick response.

Sis In Christ,
Leigh-Anne Walston

Hi Leigh Anne,
Thanks for your inquiry regarding our need for a home schooling teacher. I
don't think the family is real picky about qualifications - mainly they
need
someone who has an education and someone willing to help their kids go
through the home schooling curriculum. The girl who has helped them this
year was a university graduate - but she hadn't majored in education or
anything - she was just willing to serve.

If you are interested, let me know and we can get you started on the
application process.

Looking forward to hearing from you,
Rob

To Whom It May Concern:
I would like more information on this position. What would the
qualifications be for this position? Thank you for all your hard work and
may the Lord bless you and your family.

If it is God's Will I will be heading to Vietnam in September. May later in the year. Here I am send me!

Don't worry about the end of the year coming and the friends you will miss; really our lives are just beginning and those who keep in touch from now on will be friends for life (or at least I hope so).

The Bible says in 1st Peter 5:7
"You can throw the whole weight of your anxieties upon HIM, for you are HIS personal concern."

And about missing the friends you have made here well, the Bible says in Ps. 34:18
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; HE rescues those who are crushed in spirit."

Go before the Lord about your worries and He will hold you close when you cry.

Life is something special when you have friends like mine.
They care for me,
share experiences so I can grow,
and confront me when I do something wrong that can mean life or death physically and/or spiritually.
I love my friends!
These are people I plan on keeping in touch with for the rest of my life. You all know who you are or at least I hope you know. Everyone I talk to is special to me. Don't forget that, ok?
If you ever want to know where I am just email me at preciouslittlegirl2002@hotmail.com.
I can say one thing: if my friends want to keep in touch with me by mail it will take a lot. I love letters! ;)I have plans on being overseas for quite sometime. If you have any questions just ask me.

IN THE KING'S ARMY...

What kind of soldier are you?
Are you one that sits on the sidelines?
Or are you one who is going to fight the good fight?
Stand strong and take the training!

"You're all I want
You're all I've ever needed
You're all I want
Help me know you are near"

This is a song we sang in chapel today. I didn't know how much it would mean to me until tonight. Before praying out (something we do before leaving our shift) myself and two other dinner crew people started talking about the topic - suicide - I didn't know if they, the people who killed themselves, would go to heaven if they had once accepted Christ into their lives earlier in their lives. I went to the Lord and this is what He had me write.

"Willingly and without a fight" - By Leigh-Anne Walston
Sergi, why did you think it was the only way out?
God was still there beside you.
Could you hear Him crying out to you?
My precious son, please don't take your life away!
I have so much for you.
I know you think life is over, because of things that are going on around you.
Why didn't you come to Me?
You didn't have to take it into your own hands
I had you protected,
but you forgot about Me.(So I slowly allowed you to walk away)
I was crying out to you,

"NO! I love you!! I know you might not understand what is going on,
but I have everything under control.
Just trust Me!
NO!! Let go of the rope!
Don't take your life!

I want to be with you."
Sergi, I miss you!
The times we chilled out were full of laughter.
I don't understand what would cause you to take your life WILLINGLY AND WITHOUT A FIGHT.
What was going on?
You seemed so happy when I last saw you,
before you moved away to live with your family in Dallas.
Why did you moved back to live with your brother?
What was going on?
I have so many questions to ask you,
but I won't be able to ask you.
God, I want so much to know what was going on in his heart.
Did he deny You?
Will I see him again?
I miss his friendship, his smile, and his joy.
It was so contagious!
What happened to his joy?
What made him take his life?
Help me got through this time of grieving!
I don't think I really grieved over his sudden death.
Hold me close, Father, as I cry on Your shoulder.

I would love scriptures to memorize to help me through this time. Anybody have any that might help me focus on God in this hard time I'm going through right now?

I didn't know Rachael very well, but having served here these past 10 months I feel she made an impact. When she came up for her meal she always had a smile on her face. You could see the love of the Lord on her face. She also saw how important her friends were to her. The odd thing was last week I noticed she spent even more time with her friends then usual. She always came in the cafe. to hang out with her friends. Last week I saw her at least five times in the cafe. hanging out with her friends. She loved people and most of all loved the Lord with all her heart. Even though I didn't know her very well I feel a part of my family is gone. I grieve with all of you, but I have to confess I don't understand how you feel. Always remember I am here for you if you need someone to talk to, but please don't get angry with God; Run to God at this time of grieving and He will be your comfort.

Hey everyone,

Many things have been going on in the life of Leigh-Anne Walston. What? You might be asking. I have been praying about going overseas and where God would be calling me. Well, the news has come! I am looking into going to Taiwan and being a nanny for missionaries' children. Sound cool, huh? If any of you know me pretty well, you would know how much I LOVE children. I can't wait to be in Taiwan!!! But the first thing that needs to happen is I have to find a church to support me on the mission field. Please be praying that my church in Houston will support me whole heartedly. Thanks for your prayers!! All of you guys are awesome.

What's going on in your lives? I would love to know. Any prayer requests? Let me know!

About me and who I appreciate....
I am a sister to two siblings. Michael is my older brother whom I love dearly, and it burdens my heart and I truly want to see him grow in the Lord. Ryan is my younger brother whom I have heard pursuing the Lord with all if his heart. Mom and Dad, I love you so much, thank you for allowing me the leave home, and have the opportunity to grow in the Lord. All other relatives who might read this. "No, I didn't forget about you. You all have been a part of my life, whether big or small."
While in the internship I have 7 brothers whom I have adopted as true brothers. Yes, I said, "You are now my brothers, so after the internship you can call or email me if you need someone to talk to or pray with about something. Sister, there are so many of you that I have lost count. I have never had a sister and you all have made it a get experience for me. I will always come to one of you if I need someone to talk to about personal issues. Caroline, I will never forget the times when I have opened to you and have received freedom, because I was no longer hiding things in my life. You have truly changed my life. Don't think you didn't make a difference, because if we all wrote you a letter they would all say how much you have helped us grow because of your relationship with the Lord. K-crew, this ministry placement has made me into the person I am today. We will face trials and etc., but the Lord will get us through it all for the betterment of His kingdom. Everyone I have written about have made an impact on my life one way or the other.

Well, let me think.
Those many different languages!!! Are You kidding?
Lord, help me not mix them up when I am in those countries.
I have been looking into this website www.overseasmissionaryfellowship . Please be praying that I find the place God would have me go either next year or the following
year(s). The Lord shared with me many thoughts He had for me in the future. Thanks for your prayers!
